I’m not really into this hustle mentality. I think it promotes burnout and can have negative effect on your overall health. We have to learn how to slow down.
It feels like everyone wants things at a super-fast paced speed. Everything in life seems to move’s very fast. People seem to think that they should always be doing more, staying busy, and constantly running around. But while it is important to keep your goals in mind and work hard to achieve them, you also need downtime to regroup.
It feels so out of place to want to slow down and take time in achieving a goal or doing a task. I know I have felt like that before. I’ve questioned myself on why it was taking so long for me to do or achieve something.
It really felt difficult when it should have been easy, or maybe I should say I should have been ok with taking things slow. I just wanted to get it done so I could move on the next thing. I wanted to get that boxed checked.
Do you have that feeling? Whether it is doing a task, driving in traffic, or reaching a goal. Do you feel the need to speed up and make it happen right now?
What I’m finding out, is the rush I feel is not really necessary. Most of things that I’m working on is going to take time to have the outcome I need or want.
We don’t have to have everything and be everything or everywhere. We can remove that pressure by slowing down and putting a focus on the right now.
