Chia seeds come from the desert plan Slavia hispanica and believed to have an orgin from Central America were it was a staple in the Aztec diet.
Chia seeds have been named a source of omega-3 fatty acid and an excellent source of fiber. Some research suggests that including chia seeds along with a healthy diet may help lower cholesterol and blood pressure (as always do your own research and seek professional medical advice) J

What are the health benefits of Chia Seeds
- Digestion and Relieve Constipation (Fiber) – Thats correct they can help you go to the bathroom. The fiber that chia seeds provide can definitely have you running to the bathroom

Easy Way to Add Chia Seeds to Your Diet
Add it to water or juice. My favorite way to get chia seeds in my diet is to add it to my smoothie (Link Summer Smoothie). You can make pudding, add it to your oat meal, on top of your avocado toast, or make some jam.
Eating a plant based diet I also make an egg replacement using chia seeds.
